For the first time, a serial Audi S-series car was aggregated with a diesel engine. The 3-liter engine is equipped with two turbochargers and develops 650 Nm of torque, which is already available from 1,450 rpm.
Up to a hundred kilometers per hour, the "charged" Audi SQ5 TDI accelerates in 5.1 seconds, the maximum speed is 250 km/h. The six-cylinder engine is paired with an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox. The Quattro all-wheel drive system is designed to tame the enthusiasm of the car. At the same time, according to the company, the average crossover consumption is 7.2 liters per 100 kilometers.
The standard "shoes" are 20-inch wheels, 21-inch wheels are available as an option. However, everything has its price. So, compared with the civilian Audi Q5, the clearance of the new Ingolstadt decreased by 3 cm.
Externally, the 313-horsepower Audi crossover can be recognized not only by nameplates, but also by a new grille, a spoiler on the trailing edge of the roof and more aggressive bumpers.
In addition, the "charged" diesel crossover Audi SQ5 received a more powerful modification with the prefix Plus in the title. An alternative to petrol SUVs accelerates from standstill to “hundreds” in a little longer than 5 seconds.
A new version of the Audi SQ5 TDI Plus with a 3.0-liter V6 under the hood and increased injection pressure is being prepared for entry into European markets. The novelty from Ingolstadt develops 340 hp. and 700 torque, which is 27 hp. and 50 Nm respectively more than the conventional SQ5.
The acceleration time to the first "hundred" of the new SQ5 is 5.1 seconds, which corresponds to the standard version of the crossover. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h, and the fuel consumption rating is the same 6.6 liters per 100 kilometers as the standard diesel version.
One hundred of the Audi SQ5 Plus will receive the Audi exclusive selection macaw blue. It provides for a blue body color, decorative inserts in the cabin of the same color and sports seats. In Germany, the initial version of the SQ5 Plus was priced at 67,700 euros, i.e. a thousand euros more expensive than the usual "charged" version. At the same time, an additional styling package will cost Audi customers 12,000 euros.
In addition to diesel versions, the Audi SQ5 has a petrol version with a three-liter turbo unit. The power of this engine is 354 hp and the torque is 470 Nm. The all-terrain vehicle takes 5.4 seconds to accelerate from standstill to “hundreds”.
