AudiA5 cabriolet - The market debut of the convertible took place in 2009, and in 2011 the company introduced a restyled version of the model. In addition to the retouched appearance, the main innovations of which were a hexagonal false radiator grille and upgraded optics with LED elements, the convertible also received more economical engines, the wide capabilities of the Audi Drive Select system (allows you to adjust the operation and response of the steering wheel, transmission, suspension), as well as a longer list of active assistants.

The basic gearbox for the initial motors is a six-speed “mechanics”. An alternative to a manual gearbox on front-wheel drive versions is the Multitronic variator, and for all-wheel drive modifications, a seven-band “robot” S Tronic is offered.

In cars with the Audi Drive Select system, in addition to the preset Comfort, Dynamic and Auto modes, additional settings appeared - Efficiency (economical driving), as well as Individual, in which the driver can independently choose the most comfortable characteristics of the engine, gearbox, shock absorbers and steering mechanism.

The car learned to slow down and stop on its own. Thanks to the permanently active radar of the optional adaptive cruise control, the Audi A5 Cabriolet can independently apply gentle braking in the event of danger, and at speeds up to 30 km/h, push the pedal until the ABS is activated and comes to a complete stop.

Even more remarkable is the work of the control system of "blind" zones. Sensors monitoring the traffic situation constantly transmit information to the control electronics, which in turn informs the driver about interference. This is done using special LEDs built into the side mirrors. When another vehicle appears in the “blind” zone, they simply light up, but if the driver accidentally tries to change lanes in the direction of the obstacle, they will actively signal to attract his attention and protect him from an unsafe maneuver.

Armchairs can now be equipped not only with ventilation, but also with special deflectors in the backs of the front seats, which provide warm air flows at neck and head level.

A multimedia system with navigation can now access the Internet not only for its own needs, but also provide access to the Internet for passengers. Using the built-in Wi-Fi point and with a connected mobile operator's SIM card, you can simultaneously connect to the Internet up to eight mobile devices - smartphones, laptops or tablets.

The convertible has an automated fabric roof that can be folded at speeds up to 50 km/h. At the same time, the removable top is hidden in just 15 seconds. Serial production of the Audi A5 Cabriolet has been launched in Germany.
