Audi Q8 Audi's first full-size coupe-crossover. Presentation of the concept of the same name took place in January 2017 at the Detroit Auto Show, and the production version disclosed all secrets in June 2018. The new model appeared on the Ukrainian market in the fall of 2018.

In the final version, the Audi Q8 inherited the main design elements of its conceptual forerunner. These include rear pillars “littered” like in the legendary Audi Quattro of 1980, an aggressive Singleframe radiator grille with pronounced vertical slats, large air intakes in the lower part of the front bumper, developed wheel arches, “predatory” LED optics and futuristic taillights with a light strip that visually divides the fifth door into two sections. At the request of the customer, Q8 is equipped with 19-, 20-, 21- and even 22-inch wheels. And to give the car an even more memorable look, the bumpers and grille can be painted in contrasting colors.
The standard equipment of the Audi Q8 includes LED headlights and taillights. HD Matrix LED headlights are available as an option.
The model is based on the Volkswagen MLB platform. This architecture makes Ku-eighth related to a more strict Audi Q7 second generation, Porsche Cayenne the third iteration, the “third” Volkswagen Touareg, as well as the Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Bentayga. It is noteworthy that the Audi Q8 surpassed the related Audi Q7 in terms of body width (1995 mm for the Q8 versus 1968 mm for the Audi Q7), while the “eight” is 66 mm shorter (4986 mm) and 36 mm lower (1705 mm) than the closest relative. However, thanks to a different layout of the cabin, even with the same wheelbase of 2995 mm, the second row is a little more spacious in the Q8. In addition, as an additional option, the second-row seats can be moved forward to increase the capacity of the trunk, which, by the way, holds 605 liters with the backs up and 1755 liters with the backs folded. The tailgate is equipped with an electric drive, for a surcharge, a non-touch activation system and an electric luggage compartment blind are offered.
The central elements of the interior of the new Audi Q8 are the MMI system touchscreens, located in two levels on the center console, and the fully digital instrument panel Virtual Cockpit. The flagship model configurator features power front seats (including power lumbar support) with memory settings, Silver Gray diamond lacquered inlays, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting package, multifunction leather steering wheel, two- or four-zone climate control, power steering column, head-up display, night vision system, surround view system, adaptive cruise control, a complex of safe driving systems and much more.
The Audi Q8 is equipped as standard with quattro all-wheel drive with asymmetric dynamic torque distribution. The mechanical center differential transmits torque to the front and rear axles in a ratio of 40:60. If necessary, the traction is transferred to the axle with the best grip. The standard suspension is spring, and for a surcharge, Audi will install a fully controlled chassis and an S line adaptive air suspension, which, depending on the traffic situation and the driver’s preferences, is capable of changing the ground clearance within 90 millimeters.
In the countries of Western Europe and in Ukraine, the diesel version of the 50 TDI with a V6 3.0 TDI turbodiesel with a capacity of 286 hp was the first to go on sale. (600 Nm) and 8-speed "automatic". From 0 to 100 km/h, such an Audi Q8 accelerates in 6.3 seconds, top speed is limited to 245 km/h, and fuel consumption in the combined cycle according to the passport is 6.6-6.8 l/100 km, depending on the size of the wheels.

The range also includes the 55 TFSI version with a V6 3.0 petrol turbo engine (340 hp, 500 Nm), automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. This modification accelerates from standstill to “hundreds” in 5.9 seconds, its maximum speed limiter is set to 250 km / h, and the consumption in the combined cycle is declared at 8.4-9.2 l / 100 km. Both the diesel and petrol Q8 are mild hybrids with an auxiliary 48-volt belt-driven starter-generator and a lithium-ion battery.
Serial production of the Audi Q8 is organized at the Volkswagen plant in Slovakia.
