Audi Q7- The premiere of the current generation of the car took place in 2005 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. In the same year, the production of the model began at the factory in Bratislava (Slovakia). In 2009, the company introduced a restyled version of the car, and in 2010 the crossover was technically upgraded. The main innovation was the eight-speed automatic ZF.
The power of power plants with a volume of 3 to 6 liters varies from 204 to 500 hp. An eight-speed gearbox is standard on all six- and eight-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, but the V12 heavy-fuel engine is exclusively available with a six-speed automatic that can handle the whopping 1,000 Nm peak torque available from 1,750 rpm.
The brand's slogan "High-tech excellence" is fully embodied in the Audi Q7. All models with V6 and V8 are equipped as standard with an energy recovery system that converts kinetic energy into electrical energy when braking. The stored energy in the battery is used for subsequent accelerations. This reduces the load on the generator, increases efficiency and reduces emissions of harmful substances.
All the latest active safety systems are available for the Audi Q7 - blind spot monitoring, lane control, adaptive cruise control. Not to mention such systems as ABS, ESP, which have long become the standard for cars of this class.
Air suspension is available as an option for models up to 333 hp. For modifications with 340 and 500 hp engines. air suspension on all four wheels is standard. Its work is regulated by electronics, which constantly monitors road conditions and, even with uneven load distribution, helps the body to maintain a level position.
The multimedia capabilities of the Audi Q7 fully meet the needs of the premium segment. The car can be equipped with a 6-disc DVD changer, LCD monitors, a Bang & Olufsen sound system with 13 speakers, two amplifiers and a subwoofer.
All modifications of the Audi Q7 are all-wheel drive. In its normal state, the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system with a self-locking differential distributes torque between the front and rear axles in a ratio of 40:60.
