Audi A7 Sportback - The popularity of such "four-door coupes" as the Mercedes-Benz CLS and Volkswagen Passat CC (later simply CC) did not go unnoticed at Audi's headquarters in Ingolstadt and in 2010 the company introduced its own variation on the theme - the A7 Sportback, which was called the "five-door coupe. The similarities with more traditional two-doors are not least added by the lack of window frames in the “seven”. The fifth door can be opened in one version, together with the glazed part, which makes the model functionally similar to hatchbacks and station wagons.

As in the case of the platform Audi A8, air suspension is available for the A7 Sportback. But if for the first it is a standard, then for the second it is an option. The S Line sports package, which is offered for most models of the brand, is also available for the A7 Sportback. When ordering it, the machine is equipped with more rigid stabilizers, shock absorbers and springs. In addition, for a surcharge for the “seven”, a rear differential with a variable thrust vector is provided, which fights understeer.

For front-wheel drive versions, the Multitronic variator is used as a transmission. In manual mode, the driver can simulate eight gears. In all-wheel drive modifications, only a robotic seven-speed S Tronic dual-clutch gearbox is used.

Engines - atmospheric and turbocharged six-cylinder units. The range of gasoline engines is opened by the “aspirated” 2.8 FSI (204 hp, 280 Nm). The most powerful petrol engine is the "turbo" 3.0 TFSI (300 hp, 440 Nm).

The range of diesel engines consists of three versions of the 3.0 TDI turbocharged unit - 204 hp. and 450 Nm, 245 hp and 500 Nm, 313 hp and 650 Nm.

The mode of operation of the steering wheel, suspension, motor and gearbox is set using the proprietary Audi Drive Select system. It has both preset modes and the ability to individually configure each parameter.

Serial production of the Audi A7 Sportback has been launched in Germany.
