Audi A4 — four-door sedan D-class. The B9 series is the fifth generation of the A4, which has been in production since 2015. The restyled version of the A4 (B9) was introduced by Audi in May 2019.
As part of the update, the Audi A4 has changed most of the body parts, the profile of the front and rear fenders, the design of the rear doors, bumpers and external lighting has changed. The base headlights have become LED, and as an option, matrix headlights with an automatic beam adjustment function are offered to prevent dazzling oncoming and passing vehicles. The radiator grille, depending on the version of the car, has a different structure - in conventional versions these are horizontal bars, and in cars with the S line package - large honeycombs.
The main innovation inside is that the updated Audi A4 received a new generation MMI multimedia complex with a 10.1-inch touch screen. You can control multimedia not only through the touchscreen, but also by voice commands, but instead of the “washer” for controlling the MMI system, there is now a shelf for small things on the central tunnel. Interestingly, the dashboard in the basic versions, contrary to modern trends, remained analog, but a fully virtual system with a 12.3-inch display is optionally available. In addition, for a surcharge, you can install a projection display.
The updated Audi A4 entered the European markets with five engines to choose from. The 2.0 TFSI petrol turbo four has three boost levels for the 35 TFSI (150 hp), 40 TFSI (190 hp) and 45 TFSI (245 hp) modifications. All are complemented by a 12-volt starter-alternator that reduces fuel consumption by an average of 0.3 l/100 km. "Diesels" are represented by a modification of the 40 TDI with a 2.0-liter engine with 190 hp, as well as a version of the 45 TDI with a V6 3.0 engine that develops 231 hp. In addition, versions of 30 TDI (136 hp) and 35 TDI (163 hp) with a derated 2.0 TDI diesel engine are promised, which will also receive a 12-volt starter-generator.
The "charged" version of the Audi S4 in the European specification is now offered with a 347 hp V6 3.0 turbodiesel with electric supercharging and a 48-volt starter-alternator. Outside of Europe, the Audi S4 retained the V6 3.0 petrol turbo engine with 354 hp.
"Mechanics" left only a 150-horsepower gasoline version. The remaining “fours” received a seven-speed “robot” S tronic (for four-cylinder engines) or an eight-speed “automatic” (for a V6 diesel). There are four suspension options to choose from: standard, sports, adaptive (with a clearance reduced by 10 mm), and adaptive sports (-23 mm clearance).
Audi A4 for Europe are produced in Germany.
